About Us
Our story began in the mid 90s when a small group of actors and musicians started to wonder if their creative and expressive work, which was having a deep and profound effect on their own lives, could be shared.
So we began to explore how we might do this. We had experienced first hand how much personal growth could be embodied through the power of telling our own stories, using our voices and embodying our creativity and our ability to express, communicate and work together in deeply authentic and emotionally intelligent ways.
We wanted to share this opportunity and to inspire others to realise more of their potential.
Fortunately, we were lucky enough to win a contract working with young people and our first project was a great success! So, in 1996 we took the plunge to begin Indigo Brave full time and, to our utter joy, we have been supporting people and organisations to create positive changes in their lives ever since.
The results spoke for themselves. We consistently achieved measurable changes in these young people’s behaviour, leading to the birth of Indigo Brave’s SELF Model™.
Teachers and other professionals were eager to understand how these changes were occurring and began asking us to run training sessions for them. We loved the power of this work and were happy to share how they, too, could achieve these results.
The power of our unique methodology continued to deliver, earning us a national award for innovative education. As part of that award, we were awarded an Intellectual Property expert, who recognised that many businesses could benefit from the real changes we were achieving.
We began offering programmes that enabled organisations to create high-performing teams, capable of embodying the high-trust, collaborative, and accountable behaviours essential for success in our rapidly changing world.
Although we didn’t intend to launch into the corporate world, we have been grateful and honoured to lead and inspire change there for the past 22 years. We still remain loyal to our roots and continue to work with teenagers and adults to improve mental and emotional health and wellbeing.
At its core, our work remains the same. We will be found anywhere where people want real and long-lasting change. We know what we do works, and we love doing it.
Indigo Brave is the privilege of being a dynamic and diverse team comprising many members and associates
We now train facilitators and coaches in our methodology (invitation only), who already have a strong grounding in their own work.
We are consistently honoured that these talented professionals choose to work with Indigo Brave’s methodologies.
It enables us to create exactly the perfect facilitation team for your business or project.
Meet Indigo Brave’s founder
My greatest professional joy is being of service to individuals and organisations who have a dream to reach their highest potential. I have always been passionate about bringing cutting-edge research and practical real-life methods together to allow people to become all they can be.
I am always learning and have had many experiences in my own life which have taught me so much. I have also travelled extensively to discover the best provable techniques which really work.
I love creating not only innovative workshop programmes but also transformational learning experiences that empower people to embody these behaviours.
After much encouragement and even insistence, I finally put Indigo Brave’s core SELF Model into a book: It’s Not About Self-Esteem which has a 5* rating and reached No. 1 on the Amazon Bestseller list.
I have two grown-up children and a partner of over 25 years, and we have navigated some intense experiences together, including our house being burned down! But more of that in the book.
As I step into my eldership, I am excited to be able to widen the impact of Indigo Brave’s work and learnings, always looking to support, inspire and facilitate people and businesses who want a more authentic, values-driven life.
Personally, I still sing professionally and perform and write music with our band. I love our sustainable lifestyle on our Eco-Smallholding where we where we grow food, tend the animals, cold water swim and walk our dogs.
